Default Anyone else trying Rooibos for hair growth!

I know this is something similar on TOS but i was just wondering if anyone here is trying this? i am basically just spraying my roots twice a day with this stuff i make it up with 2 tea bags in a pint of boiling water and let it brew for a few hours and add a little water to the mix. So far it helps with root greasiness gives great shine and softness to the hair, i am also drinking it and i have become quite addicted to the taste and drank 6 mugs yesterday don't know how that happened.

It would be great to hear any progress any one's had that has tried this before.

Well, I grew half an inch in 20 days, and I usually grow half an inch per month, so there must be some kinda progress there It does help me with greasy roots and shine as well. I both spray my roots and drink it, I'm a tea addict, hehe.

Welcome aboard normally i'm more of a coffee lover but i'm hooked i drink it without milk or sugar but i can only drink it if its very hot. That's very encouraging to hear i'm hoping it will bring me to waist a bit sooner as those stupid waves are growing out instead of down!

At least you don't have to complain about lack of volume, like I allways did before I discovered how thick my hair is But yeah, hope it will bring me to bsl a bit faster than normally. My roots are starting to really show. Normally I would hate that but now I'm just happy.

Darn it. I forgot to buy a spray bottle in all the busyness today. I really want to join in on this. I don't mind if it doesn't work, because I'll smell nice (in my opinion) and I can just return to drinking it!

I drink a peach rooibos tea that I don't think I would spray on my hair. If I make it over to my favorite local coffee and tea shop today, maybe I will pick up some plain rooibos. I am always in for experimenting, and I can always drink it up if I don't like the way it tastes, right? Does it alter hair color at all? I am concerned it my stain my lighter hair at the ends.

I think it might cause slight temporary pink/red tones Tree. I'd test it on a small patch first to make sure you don't discolour your pretty hair.

Hi Tree someone has already said they have blondish hair as well as a white haired and they didn't have any problems but just to be on the safe side i agree with Cardigan.

That's what I was thinking, tea-staining and all. I might just try spraying it on my roots only, though maybe I wouldn't mind being a strawberry blonde! Lighter hair sucks sometimes. Thanks, Cardigan and Wavy!
